Who we are
The Conceal Lab Inc. is a permanent under-eye concealer studio in Pickering, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect through theconceallab.com and our booking system, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- When you send a message: your name, email address and anything you write to us.
- When you book: your name, email, phone number, appointment details and deposit payment.
- Intake and medical screening form: before treatment we ask about your health, allergies, medications and previous cosmetic procedures, plus an emergency contact. We need this to decide whether treatment is safe and suitable for you.
- When you visit the site: anonymous usage information, such as the pages you view, how you found us and the type of device you use.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and book, confirm or change your appointments.
- To assess your suitability and plan your treatment safely.
- To email you appointment reminders and aftercare information.
- To understand how people use our website so we can improve it.
We never sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with the services that help us run the studio, listed below, and only for the purposes above.
Services we use
- Acuity Scheduling handles bookings, deposits, intake forms and reminders. Card payments are processed securely by Square; we never see or store your full card number.
- Google delivers messages sent through our contact form to our inbox, and Google Analytics gives us anonymous statistics about website visits.
- Instagram links on our site take you to Instagram, which has its own privacy policy.
Some of these services may store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
Cookies
Our website uses Google Analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages are useful. They do not identify you by name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work.
Photos and videos
With your permission, we may take before-and-after photos and record videos of your procedure. We only share them, on our website or social media, with your written consent. You can say no, and you can change your mind later.
How long we keep it
We keep client and treatment records, including your intake and consent forms, for seven years, then securely delete them. Messages from people who do not become clients are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Keeping it safe
Your information is stored with secure, password-protected services, and only The Conceal Lab can access your client records.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to us using it (this may mean we can’t provide treatment). Just email us and we’ll reply within 30 days.
