The questionsyou’re thinking.
Including the one you think is silly.

Curious? Nervous? Already Googled everything?
You’re in the right place. Here are a few things worth knowing before we talk under-eyes.
What exactly is permanent under-eye concealer?
Think of it as a more lasting approach to softening the appearance of under-eye darkness.
It’s a cosmetic pigmentation treatment that places carefully selected pigment into the skin, with the goal of creating a softer, more even-looking under-eye area.
Not a filter. Not foundation. And definitely not a one-size-fits-all solution.
Wait. Is it a tattoo?
Technically, yes.
Permanent makeup is a form of cosmetic tattooing because pigment is deposited into the skin.
Although it’s sometimes called semi-permanent, that doesn’t mean the pigment is guaranteed to disappear completely.
Is everyone a candidate?
Not quite. And that’s okay.
Under-eye darkness can have different causes, including pigmentation, hollowness, shadows, and vascular tones.
Not all of these concerns can be improved with pigmentation.
That’s why we assess your skin, relevant health history, and expectations before recommending treatment.
Can under-eye PMU correct hollowness?
Not exactly. And here’s why.
Hollowness is caused by the shape and structure of the under-eye area, often creating shadows that make dark circles appear more noticeable.
Permanent under-eye concealer works with pigment, not volume. It cannot fill hollows, restore lost volume, or change the structure beneath your skin.
If your darkness is primarily caused by shadows from hollowness, this treatment may not be the right solution.
That’s why understanding what’s causing your darkness is just as important as treating it.
How many sessions will I need?
Three sessions, generally spaced 8–10 weeks apart.
We take a gradual approach, allowing time for healing and reviewing your progress before each appointment.
Good things take time. Your under-eyes get theirs.
Will I still need concealer?
Possibly!
The goal is to soften the appearance of darkness, not promise complete coverage.
Some clients may still choose to wear concealer, depending on their results and personal preferences.
And if you love your makeup routine, we’re certainly not here to break you two up.
How long does it last?
This is a lasting commitment, not a temporary makeup application.
Pigment may fade or change in appearance over time, but it can also remain in the skin for many years.
Longevity varies based on individual factors, and complete disappearance cannot be guaranteed.
We’ll discuss realistic expectations and potential future maintenance before proceeding.
Does it hurt?
Everyone’s comfort level is different.
We’ll walk you through what to expect and discuss the comfort measures available during your appointment.
Nervous? Tell me. No need to pretend you’re totally unbothered.
Is there downtime?
Yes, your skin needs time to heal.
Temporary redness, swelling, and tenderness may occur, and you’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions.
Like other cosmetic tattoo procedures, treatment also carries risks, including infection, allergic reactions, scarring, and unwanted pigment changes.
We’ll review these risks, healing expectations, and aftercare before treatment.
Can men have this treatment?
Of course.
Dark circles don’t discriminate, and neither do we.
Treatment suitability is based on your skin, under-eye concerns, and individual goals.
